One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is the courage to remain true to who we are and to stay devoted to a life of meaning and purpose. That requires confidence, self-love, and perseverance. I don’t imagine there is anyone who has walked a truly individual path who hasn’t, at some point, felt judged, misunderstood, or challenged to keep going.

Yet I have also learned that the obstacles we encounter are often part of the deeper journey. As much as our struggles may appear to come from the outside world, the truest work ultimately resides within. We are asked to make peace with ourselves, to heal old wounds, and to face the insecurities that touch our sense of belonging and self-worth.

I have come to appreciate the archetype of the “wounded healer” the understanding that our own wounds, when consciously tended, can become a source of compassion and wisdom. The experiences that have challenged me have also deepened my ability to understand and support others.

And perhaps that is one of the beautiful mysteries of a life: what once made us feel different may eventually become the very thing we are here to offer. The road has not always been smooth, but it has continually invited me to become more fully myself, and to trust the life I was meant to live.

The Quantum Field Within: Remembering Our Original Resonance

Many people speak of quantum energy as though it were something outside of us that must be found, acquired, or drawn in from beyond ourselves. Yet a deeper truth unveils the notion that we are already immersed in, and composed of, the same living field of energy that permeates all existence. The universe is not separate from us. We are expressions of it.

Every cell, every breath, every heartbeat participates in a subtle dance of vibration and resonance. Our bodies carry their own frequencies. Thoughts, emotions, memories, and states of consciousness influence the quality of our inner vibration.

Likewise, nature holds its own patterns of intelligence. Flowers, through their beauty, geometry, fragrance, and energetic signatures, reveal unique vibrational qualities as well. In the language of flower essences, each blossom becomes a carrier of its own unique quality, an energy already vibrant within itself.

When we work with flower essences, we are not importing energy from the outside. Rather, we are entering into resonance with frequencies that awaken corresponding potentials within us. The essence becomes less a medicine imposed from without and more a mirror that reflects dormant qualities of wholeness, peace, courage, or love within. It invites the body and psyche to remember their original harmony.

Higher consciousness, then, is not something to chase in distant places. It arises through attunement. As we refine awareness, cultivate presence, and open to the intelligence of nature, our own frequency can become more coherent and luminous. We evolve not by grasping for outside forces of energy, but by consciously participating in the universal field that lives through us.

Perhaps the invitation is not to become something more, but to remember more deeply what we already are: nature within nature, consciousness within consciousness, and a living expression of the vast and mysterious universe itself.

What's Happening in the Sky?

One of the most extraordinary astrological patterns of our lifetime is unfolding now. Four of the great outer planets, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, have each reached 4° of their respective signs, creating a rare planetary configuration known as the Barbault Basket, named in honor of the visionary French astrologer André Barbault.

Because these are the slow-moving planets that shape generations rather than individuals, this alignment speaks to a profound shift in collective consciousness. We are living through a passage between worlds, leaving behind old structures, beliefs, and ways of being as humanity moves toward a new era of innovation, awakening, and transformation. This is not simply a series of planetary transits, it is a symbolic reflection of evolution itself.

As we move through this remarkable period, we are each invited to ask: What within me is ready to change? What old story has completed its purpose? What new life is waiting to emerge? The heavens continually remind us that our personal journey is inseparable from the greater unfolding of the cosmos.

Adding to the intensity of this month, August also brings two powerful eclipses. Eclipses often mark turning points in both our personal lives and our collective destiny, revealing what has been hidden while opening the door to a new chapter. Together with the Barbault Basket, they suggest that we are standing at a threshold—one that asks us to participate consciously in the next stage of human evolution.

The Courage to be You!

My story began as a small child growing up in the 1950s in a family that did not resemble the traditional white-picket-fence ideal.

And yet, in so many ways, it was perfect for the life I  was meant to live. There was complexity, but I was also nurtured within a household of strong and unique individuals, my mother, sister, grandfather, and aunt, each of whom played an enormous role in my unfolding.

From an early age, I experienced out-of-body states and paranormal awareness that I did not understand and that, at times, frightened me. Yet those experiences also awakened a lifelong curiosity about mystery and the unseen. I sensed there was more to human consciousness than what we could perceive through the ordinary senses, and I felt compelled to search for meaning beyond the boundaries of conventional thought.

Symbols and Stories

Perhaps part of our healing lies in reaching back into the deeper layers of memory, awakening the stories and myths that connect us to one another, to nature, and to the living Earth. What new myths are emerging for our time? What stories will guide us toward a more conscious future.

For me, the tarot has always reflected the ongoing evolution of human consciousness. Archetypal images speak directly to the feeling nature of the soul. The cards invite exploration, curiosity, and imagination. In many ways, they are the cave drawings of a new era, symbols that provoke insight, awaken emotion, and inspire discovery.

Pictures evoke feeling. Feeling seeks expression. And through language, reflection, and storytelling, we give meaning to our experience. The stories we tell today may become the myths that guide tomorrow.

This is one of the reasons I have always loved the art of tarot consultation. A tarot session is, in many ways, the telling of a story. The images become characters, themes, and symbols that reveal themselves through the unfolding narrative of a life. Together, we explore the language of pictures and archetypes, discovering meaning hidden beneath the surface of ordinary experience.

It is through this lifelong journey of learning, research, and heartfelt passion that I have come to deeply love the work I do. Whether teaching, writing, or sitting with someone in a one on one consultation, I am continually inspired by the opportunity to share insights, explore life's mysteries, and support others on their own path of growth, healing, and discovery.
